Craft
A visual-first workspace for notes, docs, and planning
What is Craft?
How to Use Craft
Craft makes it easy to turn your ideas into organized, beautiful documents. Follow these steps to set up your first Space and start creating with confidence.
Create Your Craft Account
Sign up at craft.do using your email, Apple ID, or Google account. The free plan gives you instant access to 1,500 blocks and 1GB of storage, so you can start exploring without committing to a paid plan. Download the desktop or mobile app for the best experience.
Set Up Your First Space
A Space is Craft's way of organizing related content. Create a dedicated Space for work, personal projects, or a specific team initiative. Customize the Space name, icon, and description to keep everything organized from the start. You can create multiple Spaces for different areas of your life.
Create Your First Document
Click the + button to create a new document. Use the drag-and-drop layout blocks to add headings, text, images, checklists, and more. The editor is intuitive—just type / to see available block types, or drag elements directly onto the page to arrange them visually.
Use the AI Assistant
Highlight any text and click the AI icon to rewrite, summarize, expand, or change the tone. You can also use the AI Assistant to brainstorm ideas, draft content from scratch, or refine your writing. Each plan includes monthly AI credits that refresh automatically.
Share and Collaborate
Invite team members to your Space by sharing a link or sending an invite. You can publish pages publicly as a website, or keep them private with role-based permissions. Real-time collaboration lets everyone edit simultaneously with comments and suggestions, making it easy to work together.

Pros and Cons of Craft
Pros
- Beautiful, award-winning design that makes every interaction feel intuitive and delightful—Craft is genuinely pleasant to use, which encourages consistent note-taking and organization.
- Unified workspace that elegantly combines notes, documents, tasks, calendars, and whiteboards into a single visual environment, eliminating the need to juggle multiple apps.
- Generous paid plans with unlimited blocks, storage, and media uploads starting at just $4.80/month (billed annually), offering exceptional value for power users and teams.
- Integrated AI assistant with flexible model tiers that provides practical writing assistance without overwhelming the core note-taking experience.
✕ Cons
- Free tier is heavily restricted with only 1,500 blocks and 1GB storage, which fills up fast for anyone who actively uses the app for more than basic note-taking.
- AI credits on the free plan (15 per month) are extremely limited, and even the Plus plan's 50 credits can run out quickly for heavy AI users.
- Enterprise pricing requires contacting sales with no self-serve option, which can be a barrier for larger teams evaluating the platform.

Who Should Use Craft?
Craft is ideal for writers, content creators, product managers, students, and anyone who values design quality in their productivity tools. It's particularly well-suited for users who find Notion overwhelming or overly complex, and prefer a more intuitive, visually engaging workspace that still offers powerful features.
Craft delivers one of the most polished note-taking and documentation experiences available today. Its beautiful design, flexible workspace, and practical AI assistance make it a genuine joy to use. While the free tier's block limit can feel restrictive for heavy users, the paid plans offer exceptional value at competitive prices. It's not quite a Notion-killer, but for anyone who values design quality and a unified workflow, Craft is a compelling—and often better—alternative.
